Still lifes. I was talking about this recently with Aurelie, my artistic interlocutor, there's a conference in Nice and there's this great exhibition at the Louvres: Les choses.
The artistic interest in things is eternal, the world of things... and then there's Courbet, (I love Courbet), who painted rotten fruit in prison, rather than nothing. I mean still lifes, they have my respect.
I have done a lot of them, I always do a lot of them, I will do more.
